Roisin H. Bell is a respected and experienced litigator and legal counselor. In 2015, she received the Trailblazer Award from the Urban League of Greater Madison for her commitment to the community and the legal profession. Her professional experience includes litigating cases at both the trial and appellate court levels in jurisdictions all across the country, together with cases filed before state regulatory authorities. Her representation extends to defending claims under various consumer protection laws including the FCRA and FDCPA, products liability defense, class actions, complex contract disputes, insurance coverage, municipal and zoning issues, as well as cases involving various business torts, including misappropriation of trade secrets, tortious interference claims and unfair competition. She has also defended quasi-state entities in actions arising under 42 U.S.C. § 1983.
Roisin also has significant experience at the appellate level litigating complex statutory construction and constitutional issues. This includes cases involving Wisconsin’s comprehensive medical malpractice scheme. Roisin also has extensive experience providing counsel to several local businesses and trade organizations on a variety of substantive legal issues they face.
Prior to forming Bell Giftos St. John LLC, Roisin worked for a large Midwest law firm and also served as the Executive Assistant to Commissioner Lauren Azar during the initial period of her tenure at the Wisconsin Public Service Commission.
Roisin lives in Sun Prairie with her husband and two children. She has been actively involved in the community as a head coach of Girls on the Run. Roisin also recently served as a trustee for the Pro Bono Trust Fund in Dane County.

- Mayo v. Wisconsin Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund, 2018 WI 78, 914 N.W.2d 678 (2018)(reversing appellate court, holding that cap on noneconomic damages does not violate Wisconsin constitution and overruling prior contrary precedent)
- Groshek v. Time Warner Cable, Inc., 865 F.3d 884 (7th Cir. 2017)(affirming dismissal of FCRA claim because plaintiff lacked Article III standing)
- Apartment Association of South Central Wisconsin, Inc. v. City of Madison, 2006 WI App 192, 722 N.W.2d 614, rev. denied (provisions of Madison inclusionary zoning ordinance held void and preempted by Wis. Stat. 66.1015).
- Lamoreux v. Oreck, 2004 WI App 160, 686 N.W.2d 722 (affirming dismissal of medical malpractice action against non-profit organization associated with University of Wisconsin Medical School faculty).
- State ex rel. Pharm v. Bartow, 2005 WI App 215, 706 N.W.2d 693 (ruling that the Interstate Detainer Act did not require criminal defendant’s return to Nevada).
